The Mayor of Moscow praised the high professionalism of the aeromedical teams, who have repeatedly saved lives in major disasters. Since the beginning of this year, they have evacuated approximately 200 patients.
Medical care begins during the flight. The helicopters are equipped with equipment similar to that installed in intensive care units in modern hospitals. A unique dielectric floor covering neutralizes electrical charges, allowing doctors to perform defibrillation in the air.
Transportation and full medical care are possible for two patients in critical condition simultaneously.
Currently, helipads are operating at nine Moscow hospitals. An additional 21 helicopter landing and takeoff sites have been established in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts. An additional helipad is located on the Moscow Ring Road.
