The first wedding ceremonies in the new 2024 year have already taken place in the Moscow Metro. On the night of 3 to 4 February, three couples officially got married at Mayakovskaya station. Mendelssohn's March sounded during the ceremonies, and relatives of the newlyweds joined in the congratulations. The newlyweds also took memorable photos in the "Moscow 2020" train.
Moscow Metro has been actively participating in the mayor's project "New Addresses of Happiness" since 2021 and provides a venue for wedding ceremonies. Only at Mayakovskaya station 51 wedding celebrations have already taken place. Couples can choose from more than 30 unusual places for marriage registration. At night from Saturday to Sunday, three couples were officially married at Mayakovskaya metro station. For 2024, almost all places on this site are already occupied, but if necessary, the wishes of young people are taken into account and additional time is allocated for weddings.
