The condition of cancer patients after chemotherapy in Moscow is now monitored remotely.

Moscow oncology centers have implemented a system of remote monitoring of patients receiving chemotherapy treatment. Currently, over 1.6 thousand cancer patients are involved in the program.

This service provides doctors with the opportunity to continuously monitor the health of patients, promptly adjust treatment and develop the most effective therapy strategy.

The capital has been consistently implementing a comprehensive approach to helping cancer patients, starting with organizing routing in outpatient clinics and ending with providing discounted medications. A new stage in the development of this system was the introduction of a remote support project for a certain group of patients undergoing chemotherapy in Moscow cancer centers, noted Deputy Mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova.

Now, in between courses of therapy, patients have the opportunity to fill out online questionnaires reflecting their well-being through the EMIAS. INFO mobile application and receive consultations from doctors through telemedicine sessions. This allows specialists to have up-to-date information on the dynamics of the patient's condition, carry out continuous monitoring, promptly identify critical changes, make adjustments to treatment tactics and prescribe the necessary examinations remotely. To date, more than 1,600 people are participating in the project, who have filled out more than nine thousand questionnaires and received more than three thousand consultations in six months.
