Heads and deputy heads from various regions shared their best practices at the event.
Lyudmila Neshchadim, Head of the Gatchina District Administration in the Leningrad Region, presented a project to provide housing to socially vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities and families with disabled members. The initiative provides new apartments and payments to improve housing conditions.
Kirill Trapeznikov, Head of the Purovsky District of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, spoke about the adaptation and employment system for veterans of the Soviet Military District, as well as the implementation of the "SVOi dlya SVOih" grant project, aimed at providing household assistance to the families of veterans. He emphasized that the key outcome of such meetings is the establishment of horizontal connections and the exchange of experience between regions, which enables the implementation of best practices at the local level.
Anastasia Dementeva, First Deputy Chair of the Tula City Duma, presented the "Our City" initiative, through which residents propose projects for the renovation of entrances and improvement of courtyards. Thanks to the project, several hundred initiatives aimed at improving the urban environment have been implemented in the region.
Elena Volkova, Deputy Head of the Okulovsky Municipal District of the Novgorod Region, spoke about the "Active Longevity" project, which includes regular Nordic walking classes, darts and shooting competitions, mass training sessions, health-improving gymnastics, and educational lectures for senior citizens.
As a reminder, the official opening of the regional day of the 3rd All-Russian Municipal Forum "SMALL HOMELAND – THE POWER OF RUSSIA" took place yesterday in Tosno, Leningrad Region. The event, dedicated to the topic "Social Policy of the Future: Decisions That Transform Municipalities," brought together federal and regional experts, as well as municipal leaders.
