Emergency Situations Ministry's grouping has been strengthened in Crimea: 225 rescuers and aviation hold back a fire near Alushta

The situation with the natural fire near Alushta remains tense - the fire area has increased to five hectares. To fight the fire, the Russian Emergencies Ministry has engaged aviation: two Mi-8 helicopters have already made six water drops, the total volume of which amounted to 18 tons.

According to the press service of the agency, the spread of the fire was stopped, there is no threat to settlements, despite the difficult conditions - strong wind and hard-to-access rocky terrain.

A combined group of 225 rescuers and 33 units of equipment is working on the site. For effective extinguishing the fire perimeter is divided into four combat areas. Recall, initially the fire of dry vegetation covered one hectare, but due to unfavorable weather conditions, the fire quickly spread. Currently, the main efforts are aimed at the complete elimination of the fire and prevention of new hotbeds.

Earlier we reported that in the area of the village of Lazurnoye near Alushta continues extinguishing a large-scale landscape fire. More than 150 rescuers are working on the site and involved 21 units of special equipment. The fire of dry vegetation covered an area of about 1 hectare.
