The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on the night of October 21, air defense units shot down 55 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions. The largest number of drones, 34 in total, were shot down over the Rostov Region.
Another seven drones were shot down over the Black Sea, and six in the airspace of the Voronezh Region. Air defense units shot down only two drones over Crimea, and three drones each over Krasnodar Krai and Lipetsk Oblast. The previous night, only 14 drones were shot down.
In the Kursk Region, a car carrying children overturned, killing one and hospitalizing three.
The Transport Prosecutor's Office is investigating the cause of the accident involving a plane at Pulkovo Airport, which skidded off the runway.
