The fire in the Shchukin Theater Institute, located in the heart of Moscow, has been extinguished. Information about this was provided to RIA Novosti by sources in the emergency services.
“The automatic fire extinguishing system has coped with the fire, now rescue teams are returning to their usual locations,” the source told the agency.
At around 20:48 Moscow time, a fire broke out in the library located on the top floor of the educational institution. Thirty-eight people left the building on their own. Yevgeny Knyazev, rector of the institute, stated that there were no casualties.
A day earlier it became known about the fire in the Moscow shopping center “Metropolis”. According to preliminary data, the hearth of the fire was on the minus first floor, presumably in the server room of the company MTS. Thirty people were evacuated from the building. At the scene of the incident worked operational services. Evacuation in the shopping center “Metropolis” was also held on June 8.
Earlier it was also reported that the fire at the plant “Roscosmos” in St. Petersburg covered 250 square meters.
