The incident occurred after the couple with their children born in 2012 and 2019 left Sebyan-Kyuel village in a Ural car towards Segyan-Kyuel village. They were to be met by an acquaintance at the Nyora River on August 12, but at the agreed time the family did not appear at the place.

Since August 12, relatives of the missing have been searching for them on their own. The situation is complicated by the fact that the water level in the local rivers has risen significantly due to continuous rains.

Today, August 15, at 16:00 local time (10:00 Moscow time) a group of rescuers of the Republican Rescue Service flew from Yakutsk to conduct search operations. Law enforcement agencies also got involved in the case: the regional department of the Investigative Committee began a procedural check on the fact of the family's disappearance.

Earlier, the deputy director of the Ministry of Finance Department, Elena Dorofeeva, was rescued on Sakhalin.
