The driver who prevented a tragedy in the Bryansk region will be awarded posthumously

The driver of the train “Klimov - Moscow” 34-year-old Pavel Mishin, who died in an accident on the railroad, will be awarded posthumously. This became known from his wife Ekaterina Mishina.

She said railroad officials said Paul remained at his post until the last moment and managed to slow the train before the bridge collapse occurred. His actions, the authority said, saved the lives of dozens, possibly hundreds, of passengers.

The specific type of award has not yet been announced. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the railroad's management, and they are in constant contact with the family. Details of possible compensation have not yet been specified.

At the moment the body of the machinist is being prepared for transportation to his hometown of Unecha. According to his wife, the date of the farewell has not been determined yet: everything depends on when the procedure of body release will be finalized. It is expected that the funeral will be held in the next two days.

The family of the tragically deceased is in a difficult emotional state. According to Ekaterina to the publication KP.RU, she needs constant medical care and often calls an ambulance. Their minor daughter temporarily resides with relatives.

Recall, earlier representatives of Russian Railways confirmed the death of the locomotive driver as a result of the collapse of a bridge structure in the Bryansk region. Recall that in total the tragedy killed seven people, 104 suffered.
