Bananas continue to rise in price in Russia. This was reported by Rosstat. According to the department, in October, the average price of a banana increased to 143.4 rubles per kilogram.
This is 47% more expensive than it was a year earlier.
In October last year, the average cost of bananas per kilogram was 97.7 rubles.
For October, this rate of price increase in annualized terms was the most noticeable since 2000.
