The EU is considering the possibility of confiscating Russian assets. We are talking about the 28 billion euros frozen in the EU.

According to European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders, such a prospect does exist. Russia may lose some of its assets with a guarantee that it will "one day pay compensation for damages to Ukraine".

The European Commission will present a plan to use a tax on profits from the reinvestment of Russian funds to support Kiev on December 12, Reynders said.

At the same time, he noted that the confiscation would probably be carried out on the basis of court rulings.
