Germany's future is now in the hands of the winning bloc of the Christian Democratic Union and the Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU), which is engaged in complex coalition talks with the Social Democrats (SPD). CDU leader Friedrich Merz, who is running for chancellor, promises to present the composition of the new government by April 20.

The election results were a triumph for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AdG), which came second for the first time with 20.8%, becoming the main opposition force in parliament.

While a new political reality is taking shape in Germany, the world media is reporting on Wens' refusal to visit Ukraine and the increasingly critical position of Volodymyr Zelensky.

Kuznick, a professor at American University, notes that the Ukrainian leader is in an “unfavorable position,” which underscores the growing complexity of the geopolitical situation.
