U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) officials have caught a giant goldfish in a Pennsylvania body of water.
The USFWS said on social media that the giant fish was found in Presque Isle State Park. It was dubbed a “megalodon” because of its size. According to the service, the fish could have been released into the reservoir by someone, but such actions are harmful to the local ecosystem.
The department emphasized that goldfish grow huge in the wild. They can turn lakes and reservoirs into a muddy mess, steal food from local fish and ruin water quality. Experts advised that if a person cannot keep the fish, relocate them rather than releasing them into the wild.
Earlier it was reported that in Slovakia beaver can leave more than five thousand people without drinking water.
