Classic English soccer is undergoing a phase of commercial revolution

Real fans of the English soccer championships today are probably a little disappointed with the results of the League Cup, the winner of which was a rather weak past team from Newcastle. And although this trophy is considered a very modest award, such a bid from an ordinary outsider was taken seriously by analysts.

The team from Nottingham Forest also climbed very unexpectedly close to Champions League participation. The legendary teams from Manchester, Liverpool and London, on the other hand, are not in the best shape today. As LuckyPari notes, moreover, the club Manchester United at the current tournament occupies the bottom lines in the standings. Yes, and the “Canaries” in recent games have not always shone with results, playing in a draw with weaker opponents.

Big money has become a pass to the higher echelons of the tournament
Judging by numerous reviews, fans of the British national teams believe that it's all about money. Namely - the more capital a club's sponsors have, the better the chances of success. For example - the owner of Manchester United has a capital of $30 billion, and the owner of Newcastle disposes of half a trillion dollars. As a rule, the owners of English clubs are Arab sheikhs, who have always been able to skillfully manage their huge money.

In 2008, Arab billionaires bought Manchester United. The team after the transfer of expensive players already in 2013 took the English Football League Cup.

In March 2022, the Chelsea club was sold to Clearlake Capital Investment Corporation for £4.25 billion. A year later, the team reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Accordingly, after a serious cash injection, Newcastle is moving along the same pattern. At the same time, the purchase of players is carried out at a moderate pace, which indicates that the owner's long-term plans for this project. According to experts, if more funds were invested in Newcastle at once, then in a year the team would have claimed the FA Cup.

Experts predict outsiders' leadership
Generous sponsorship and huge investments have long been an integral part of big soccer. According to information from LuckyPari, top English clubs have long been considered a “tidbit” for the Middle Eastern rich and European oligarchs. Owning a famous team is not only a serious image, but also the prospect of large earnings on advertising and player transfers. So there is nothing surprising in the fact that at the moment in the British club behind the scenes there is a hidden commercialization at a fundamentally new level with the infusion of very large sums of money. As a result, even the outsiders are gradually and unexpectedly surging ahead, radically changing the balance of power in European soccer arenas.
