At the Olympics, a French judoka easily defeated an opponent weighing half as much

At the Olympic Games, a 145-kilogram judoka went up against an 83-kilogram South Korean

French judoka Teddy Riner, an accomplished athlete and four-time Olympic champion, showed his dominance in the quarterfinals of the team mix at the Paris Olympics by easily defeating South Korea's Lee Eun-hwan. The bout lasted just 90 seconds and ended 10-0 in Riner's favor.

The difference in the size of the athletes made this fight the most unusual at the tournament: Riner weighs 145 kg, while his opponent weighs only 83 kg.

Despite the significant difference in weight and height, Riner demonstrated not only physical superiority, but also a high level of skill, defeating his opponent in less than a minute and a half.

The reasons for the Korean team's decision to field such an unsuitable opponent for Riner remain unknown. Perhaps the Korean side decided to take a risk and try to use "quick attack" tactics, hoping for surprise and unexpectedness. However, such a strategy did not work.

Thanks to Riner's confident victory, the French team advanced to the semifinals of the team mixed event. The Russian team does not participate in the Olympics in Paris.

In her debut season at Indy NXT, Sophia Fleursch raced for HMD Motorsports. In the first race of the season, which was held in St. Petersberg, she took 12th place among 21 participants. However, according to the Racer publication, the cooperation between the racer and the team was interrupted due to disagreements with the main sponsor, which provided financial support to Fleursch.

The HMD Motorsports team said that the decision to part ways with Sophia Flörsch was made by mutual consent. The statement emphasized that the parties have maintained a good relationship and the team wishes Sofia success in her future endeavors.

HMD Motorsports is now actively looking for a new driver to replace Sofia Flörsch, who will drive the #24 car for the remaining 13 races of the season, as well as take part in the upcoming tests.
