Zurabishvili noted that Russia is actively checking the Georgian situation, seeking to revive its power in the former Soviet republics. The Georgian President expressed fears about the possible expansion of a conflict similar to the Ukrainian conflict into Georgian territory.
She also noted that since the beginning of the armed conflict Georgia has become a shelter for about 100 thousand Russian citizens, expressing her alarm about the presence of the Russian-speaking population in Georgia.
