Moscow mayor named the main theme of this year's cultural events

Events timed to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will start in Moscow. Mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin said that the main location of the festivities will be Poklonnaya Hill. The events will also cover all districts of the city, including parks, theaters, museums, libraries and other cultural institutions.

One of the significant events will be the Theater Boulevard Festival, which will return to Moscow this summer. The festival will become even more large-scale, increasing the number of venues and events, and is aimed at attracting new audiences to theaters and concert halls. According to the mayor, the purpose of this event is to introduce citizens to the theater repertoire.

In addition, the Moscow Fashion Week will be held in the fall, which will be attended by 186 Russian and international brands, as well as about 140 students of creative universities.

Earlier in the estates of the capital began to restore historical fireplaces and tile stoves. Sobyanin also told when the restoration of the movie theater “Udarnik” will be finished.
