Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on holding Intervision-2025 in Moscow and the Moscow Region, appointing Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko as chairman of the organizing committee. In addition, a supervisory board will be created to approve the results of the competition.
Senator Gumerova emphasized to TASS that holding such an event is especially relevant against the background of the fact that many international cultural and sporting events have become used for political purposes. In her opinion, Intervision will create an honest creative platform, free from bias towards artists and unfair voting. She also noted that 20 countries have already expressed their readiness to participate, including all BRICS states.
Presidential Special Representative for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy said earlier that the contest is scheduled for September 2025. He recalled that “Intervision” was held from 1965 to 1977 and included participants not only from socialist countries, but also from Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, Portugal and Finland.
Earlier it also became known that in the capital from January 28 to February 9 are held festive events in honor of the Chinese New Year.
In addition, the project “Winter in Moscow” includes more than 1.9 thousand events, including ice skating, ice shows and other festive events for residents and guests of the city.
