The owner of a Samsung Galaxy S25+ smartphone, who goes by the nickname Cheoeuijan-ah, shared on the manufacturer's official forum how his phone caught fire in his hands. At first, he felt the case heating up, and when the heat turned into a burning sensation, he dropped the device on the floor, where the smartphone continued to burn intensely. The melted battery expanded so much that it pushed out the back of the case.

Samsung's support service responded to the complaint and conducted its own investigation, but was unable to determine the cause of the fire. However, after some time, the customer was fully reimbursed for the money spent on the smartphone. He also wrote that he suffered first-degree burns to his fingers, but did not specify whether he received compensation from the manufacturer for this.

Earlier it was reported that a young man whose Samsung smartphone caught fire in his pocket was taken to the burn unit in Lipetsk.

Rospotrebnadzor reminded the public of the importance of regularly disinfecting the surface of smartphones.
