The company has presented a new Tenet brand and a teaser of the first model, which will apparently be based on the popular Chery Tiggo 7. It is likely that the Kaluga plant will start production of the Tiggo 7 Plus modification, which has not yet been sold in Russia, but is similar to the current Tiggo 7 models.
The Chery Tiggo 7 and its counterparts remain best sellers in Russia, which makes the choice of model logical. At the same time, compared to the success of the Chery brand, the Tenet brand is still just starting its journey in the Russian market. An example is the Xcite project, which produces models based on the Chery Tiggo 7, but in 2024 the company adjusted its production plan from 25 thousand to 20 thousand cars, and in reality sold only 5.5 thousand.
While the Xcite and Moskvich-branded projects have faced problems with low demand, AGR Automotive has experience working with large plants, which allows it to expect more stable results. However, production at the Kaluga plant could face difficulties, especially if purchasing power continues to decline in 2025, according to 74.ru.
