According to traffic police statistics, it is at the beginning of spring that the number of road accidents increases. By mid-summer, this figure peaks and then begins to decline, falling sharply in December - at the expense of car owners who do not drive in winter.

Usually, road user liquids are prepared for motorists. Lawyer, specialist in criminal law Vladimir Glybochka in a conversation with the “Southern Federal” told how the owner of a motorcycle it.

According to the expert, bikers are in a special risk zone for getting into accidents because of the opening of the motorcycle season in the spring.

Glybochka noted that 2-wheeled transport is less stable on an uneven road than 4-wheeled. Accordingly, motorcyclists and their passengers are more vulnerable than car drivers: even a small collision can lead to serious injuries and death.

In the case of an accident resulting in death or harm to human health, criminal proceedings are initiated.

The expert gave a “legal minimum” for motorcyclists to avoid such a situation.

The accused in this case can become not only the driver of the motorcycle, but also its owner.

If you are involved in an accident while operating your motorcycle, you can be held liable for traffic violations. The list includes dangerous driving, as well as failure to keep a safe distance, failure to take road conditions into account when choosing a speed limit, minor vehicle malfunctions, and more.

If a motorcyclist causes serious injury to a road user, he or she may be sentenced to pay for the victim's medical treatment for the rest of his or her life. Experts must prove that it was your violation that led to the accident and its consequences. The attorney's job is to prove that you did everything possible to avoid the accident.

Operating a motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is willful endangerment. Even if the biker does not actually cause the accident, he or she will likely be found guilty, the lawyer emphasized.

Passengers, Glybochka noted, can make the situation worse. Carrying a passenger without safety measures reduces maneuverability, and the person himself can simply interfere with the control of the motorcycle.

If you want to get behind the wheel of a motorcycle, the lawyer recommends to assess soberly your capabilities, skills and serviceability of transport. The expert urged not to take risks and not to bring to the accident.

Earlier auto expert Kablinova urged drivers to comply with the rules of transportation of children.
