The peak level of cognitive activity of the human brain falls at the age of 35. This conclusion was made by German scientists from the University of Munich Ludwig-Maximilian.
According to the publication PNAS, which publishes the results of their work, the basis for the study was 24 thousand chess games played over a 130-year period. Studying the moves that players made and comparing them with the optimal strategy that the computer program proposed, scientists came to the conclusion that the player's effectiveness reached its maximum by the age of 35.
At the age of 35 to 45, this indicator went to the plateau, and after 45 the efficiency began to decrease slightly.
