President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that he would not be the head of state after the adoption of the new constitution. Lukashenko made a statement during a visit to a city clinical hospital in Minsk.

Lukashenko urged to calm down everyone who thinks that he will take the highest state post after the adoption of the new constitution. He added that the basic law is not written under it.
We remind that before the presidential election on August 9, Lukashenko repeatedly stated the need to adopt a new constitution. According to him, the emphasis in the development of the new document should be placed on the expanded powers of local authorities.
