Eight people were injured during the shooting, which took place at a school in Oxford, Michigan. This information was announced during a press conference by a representative of the local police department.
According to the representative, a total of eight people were injured in different phases of the incident and are being treated at three different hospitals. As a reminder, earlier it was reported about six victims.
Two of the injured are currently undergoing surgery, while the condition of the other six is assessed as stable. The shooting victims were three teenagers aged 14 to 17 years.
Recall that a 15-year-old student of a school in the city of Oxford fired 15 to 20 shots from his father's semi-automatic pistol. The guy was promptly detained by law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene of the emergency, the weapon was seized. He refuses to disclose his motives.
It turned out that the boy's father had bought this pistol the other day during a Black Friday sale.
After the incident, the school students were evacuated to a nearby store until their parents arrived. Investigations into the incident are continuing.
