Finnish authorities are about to sign the Defense Cooperation Agreement (DCA) with the United States.

"The agreement at the official level may be signed as early as this week," sources tell Helsingin Sanomat newspaper.

The agreement will determine the status of the deployment of the US military on the territory of Finland.

Recall, Russia's neighboring country joined NATO in April 2023. It was assumed that the defense treaty with the United States will be developed and discussed for a year or two years.

Russia has broken the treaty on cross-border cooperation with Finland.
