French authorities expect that about 70% of households that use stoves for heating will receive firewood vouchers.
The publication Ouest France reports that since December 27, the French began issuing vouchers for firewood in the amount of 50 to 200 euros.
The amount of the check depends on a citizen's income and marital status. A measure of support, introduced against the backdrop of a sharp rise in the cost of electricity, will not affect everyone. It is noted that it will not be used by "wealthy or very wealthy" families.

In August, French media reported that many households had decided to heat their homes with firewood this coming winter. Sales of wood stoves have already increased one and a half times over 2022. Firewood factories are fully loaded, and the flow of orders is growing.
