Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss important strategic issues with Xi Jinping during his visit to China, Chinese Ambassador to Moscow Zhang Hanhui said.
He told TASS that the leaders will discuss the topical and most important issues of both bilateral cooperation and interaction in the political arena in the world. This is very important, the diplomat added.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the dates of Putin's visit to China have already been determined, but have not yet been named.
On September 20, Putin said during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that he had accepted Xi Jinping's invitation to come to China in October for the One Belt, One Road forum.
