Turkish media exploded with news about how hotels in Turkey are being "robbed" by fraudsters from Europe. They use a system of money transfers by mail order, which is designed as a variation of "rest now, pay later" holidays.
The newspapers noted that the scheme is most often used by the British. They come to Turkey, have a holiday, and when they return home to Britain, they do not pay for their rest. The cheaters reject the payment, which they get from the bank months later, saying they never stayed in a Turkish hotel.
The hotel administration can not confirm the tourist's vacation, because security camera recordings are erased after a month.
Russians will not be able to take advantage of such a scheme, because Mail Order is not available to them.
