Five Chinese provinces have begun vaccinating children against the new coronavirus.

In five of the 34 provinces of the People's Republic of China, vaccination against the new coronavirus has begun in children between the ages of three and 11.

National Health Commission spokesman Mi Feng said there are about 1.6 billion people in the country vaccinated. At the same time, according to him, the number of doses used is only about 2.2 billion.

At the moment, 76% of citizens are vaccinated in the PRC. Since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the data, 96,797 cases of infection have been identified in the country.
