Two activists of the eco-movement Just Stop Oil, who poured tomato soup on the painting “Sunflowers” by Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh in London, were found guilty in court of unlawful damage.
According to the Telegraph, in October 2022, eco-activists poured soup on a Van Gogh painting at the National Gallery in London. The gallery said that the canvas is not spoiled, but there is slight damage to the frame.
The girls were released on bail. They will be sentenced on September 27.
