Turkey and Russia continue to develop relations despite difficulties

There are still controversial issues between the countries that the Turkish authorities are trying to resolve, an example of this is the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced the development of relations between Turkey and Russia despite certain discords, Reuters writes.

For Ankara, Moscow plays a big role in foreign policy, and the Turkish authorities are trying to find a compromise and "maintain a lively dialogue." Cavusoglu called the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh one example of effective cooperation between the two countries.

On the contrary, Turkey's relations with the United States have deteriorated, the minister says, as the US authorities categorically oppose the supply of Russian air defense systems С-400 to Turkey, although the country has already explained why it needs these complexes.
