According to Axios, the Israeli Armed Forces were instructed to prepare for a US strike on Iran before Donald Trump left the White House. There is also evidence that the Israeli military is preparing for the alleged attack due to "a possible aggravation of the situation amid the transfer of power to Joe Biden," who will take part in the inauguration on January 20, 2021.
Israel is also confident that Iran will definitely respond by striking Syria, Lebanon or the Gaza Strip. "The United States will definitely warn Israel about the attack on Iran, but there may be little time," the article says.
The United States previously agreed to impose sanctions against four companies from Russia and China. Restrictions are planned to be introduced due to the alleged support of these enterprises for the Iranian nuclear program.
