Merkel urges fellow citizens to reduce contacts and travel

She added that it can break a negative trend. Now the number of the infected people with COVID-19 grows in Germany.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel appealed to fellow citizens to reduce contacts and to refuse travel. She voiced the appeal in a video podcast.

Merkel specified: an exception is obligatory travel. As for contact with others, the head of Germany urged to reduce any physical interaction.

It concerns meetings at home and other places.

According to her if everyone takes these measures, the situation with infection will be not such acute.

For the last day in Germany more than 14700 infected people are officially revealed – it is 3500 more, than one day earlier. In total, 420 thousand coronavirus cases  were revealed in Germany since the pandemic began. After infection slightly more than 10 thousand died.
