The United States intends to increase the production of ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces thanks to a plant in Texas. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
The newspaper's publication talks about the fact that the Pentagon plans to increase the production of 155-millimeter shells for the Ukrainian army from about 30 thousand per month to 100 thousand by the end of next year. The plant on the territory of the state of Texas will spend the country more than halfway to this goal, emphasized the authors of WSJ.
The plant is expected to launch the first of three production lines as early as fall. However, the expansion of domestic output is dependent on foreign countries. The new equipment of the Texas enterprise will make it possible to produce a variety of shells and mortars on the same line.
Recall that Seoul linked the supply of weapons to the AFU with the transfer of Russian military technology to the DPRK. The Pentagon did not comment on the AFU shelling of Sevastopol with ATACMS missiles.
