Japanese Prime Minister Kishida: Tokyo has no plans to join NATO

The Prime Minister of Japan said that the country is not going to join NATO, it has no plans to do so.

At the same time, the issue of opening the first NATO office in Asia in Tokyo is still being discussed. No decisions have been made.

The office is needed to facilitate the process of consultations in the region, writes TASS.

At the same time, Japan intends to cooperate with members of the North Atlantic Alliance.
