First batch of Sputnik V vaccine delivered to San Marino

The Republic of San Marino has received the first batch of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.

According to the Russian Embassy, the agreement between the Government of San Marino and the Russian Direct Investment Fund on the delivery of the Russian medicine was a confirmation of the constructive cooperation between the two states.

Thus, San Marino has become the 30th country in the world to recognize the effectiveness of the drug produced in Russia.

San Marino is one of the smallest countries, which is located on the Apennine peninsula. The territory of the country is 61 square km and the population is 30 thousand people. The use of Sputnik V did not require the approval of the European Medicines Agency.
