Iceland has offered special vises for remote employees

The specialist must have a certain level of income. Thus, the authorities hope to quickly restore the country's economy.

Icelandic authorities have developed a procedure for obtaining a long-term visa for foreigners who work remotely, writes Bloomberg.

A foreigner who wants to take advantage of the offer of the authorities needs to confirm the fact of monthly earnings in the amount of one million ICK (slightly less than $7400).

The new procedure applies to anyone who does not require a tourist visa for small trips to the country. This applies, for example, to residents of the United States, countries of the Schengen zone, the United Arab Emirates.

After confirming income, the specialist will be able to live in the country for up to six months with his family.

Minister of Finance and Economy Bjarni Benediktsson said that the country will quickly get out of the economic crisis thanks to this measure.
