The ALV devices sent by Russia to the United States as humanitarian aid were not used, they were disposed of. The US Federal Agency explained that they did it «out of precaution.»
The department said that the United States knows: in Russia, these Aventa-M devices caught fire, which is why patients died in hospitals. Therefore, in accordance with existing requirements in the United States, they were destroyed.
In addition, in order to use Russian ALV in the United States, it was necessary to obtain permission from regulators. When the devices were received, there was no complete information about them, the department emphasized.
Then it turned out that they have variable voltage parameters that are not suitable for networks in the United States. There were no adapters to them in American hospitals.
