This includes Rosselkhozbank.
Peter Stano, an official representative of the European Union Foreign Affairs Service, said in an interview with Izvestia that the European Union will not reconnect Russian banks to the SWIFT system until the conflict in Ukraine is over.
"As for deSWIFTing Russian banks - this is part of the sanctions imposed by the European Union and other countries in response to Russia's special operation in Ukraine, the restrictions will be softened or removed altogether only after the conflict is over," Stano said.
Meanwhile, it is the reconnection of Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT that is part of the grain deal made between the UN, Russia and Ukraine. But this condition has not been fulfilled so far.
We shall remind you that the grain deal was extended for another two months on 18 May.
