More than 200,000 people left without power in California because of the storm

In California, the storm left hundreds of thousands of people without electricity. The storm hit the San Francisco and Monterey Bays.

As The Washington Post reports, the storm brought down trees and severed power lines. Wind gusts reached 122 km/h in some areas. Because of the fallen tree one person was killed.

It is known that more than 200 thousand people were left without electricity. At one of the campuses of Stanford University canceled exams because there is no electricity.

Moreover, floods are observed in some areas of the state. Cities such as Santa Cruz, San Mateo and Santa Clara were affected.

Recall that in January President Joe Biden imposed a state of emergency in California.
