The execution order was given by the country's Minister of Justice, Yoshihisa Furukawa.
By order of the Minister of Justice of Japan, Yoshihisa Furukawa, a sentence was carried out in the country against three criminals who were sentenced to death by hanging. This is the first execution of prisoners since 2019, NHK reported on Tuesday, December 21.
Among those executed is Yasutaka Fujishiro, who killed seven people in Kakogawa City in 2004. These were his neighbors. It is known that Fujishiro suffered from mental disorders. Two other hanged men robbed the ticket office of an arcade machine room in Gunma Prefecture in 2003, killing an employee who worked there.
The TV channel recalled that in Japan, sentences of hanging are carried out only after a written order from the Minister of Justice of the country. The last person to be executed in 2019 was a Chinese citizen who was involved in the murder of a Japanese family.
