According to the Turmush News Agency, the heads of the state national security committees of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan signed a protocol under which the parties are establishing peace on the border.
Kamchybek Tashiyev, head of Kyrgyzstan's SCNS, said the situation in the conflict zone is gradually stabilizing and peace has been established in the region.
"The essence of the protocol is to stabilize the situation and establish peace between the two countries, and to work on settling the situation," stressed the head of the agency.
On the part of Tajikistan, the document was signed by SCNS chairman Saimumin Yatimov.
In addition, another meeting of the heads of the National Security Committees on the situation is scheduled.
