Sweden prohibits Huawei and ZTE from building a 5G network on its territory

The decision is related to security issues. Such recommendations to the authorities were made by the country's power structures.

Sweden has banned Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE from installing equipment for 5G networks on its territory.

It is reported by Reuters.

It is noted that the decision to close the access of Chinese equipment to the market was made on the recommendations of the Swedish security services, including the military.

The authorities decided to introduce a ban on the eve of the auction, at which the supplier of equipment for creating a network of 5G will be determined.

Huawei representatives responded to the ban. The company stated that such a step is absolutely unacceptable, unfair, and all claims of insecurity have no basis.

Earlier, Great Britain and Belgium refused to use Chinese equipment.
