UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak risks losing his post after the general election due to his party's failure in the polls, The Telegraph reported, citing a poll.
In this scenario, Sunak would become the first prime minister to resign because his political force lost an election.
The Conservative Party, which he leads, would win 53 seats in parliament - seven times fewer than in the 2019 election. Labor, on the other hand, will improve its result twice: from 202 seats to 516. The position of the Liberal Democrats is predicted to strengthen: 50 seats against 10 previously.
The new prime minister could be Keir Starmer. He was a shadow minister on Brexit issues and a lawyer.
