Former United States President Donald Trump has been fined nearly a million dollars in a lawsuit against former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Judge John Middlebrooks told a Florida district court that they were faced with a lawsuit that should never have been filed, a lawsuit that is frivolous in fact and law, filed in bad faith and for an improper purpose.
Trump filed suit against Clinton and 30 other defendants from his campaign headquarters.
In the filing, Trump sought $70 million in damages, but the court ultimately ordered the former president to pay $938,000 to cover the defendants' fees and expenses.
Recall that Trump lost the last election to Joe Biden. He also plans to run for president again.
