The deputy chief medical officer of Great Britain Jonathan Van-Tam reported that clinical trials results of AstraZeneca vaccine will be ready by the end of November. It is reported on pages of “The Sunday Times” edition.
The international innovative biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca together with the University of Oxford develops vaccine AZD1222. Now medicine passes the third phase of trials on volunteers.
In December Great Britain plan to vaccinate the population. First of all, medics, the elderly citizens and people having chronic diseases will be vaccinated against coronavirus.
As Van-Tam noted, mass vaccination will reduce number of hospitalized patients with coronavirus.
For the last day more than sixteen thousand new coronavirus cases are registered in the country.
