French President Emmanuel Macron on social media congratulated Nicusor Dan on his victory in the Romanian presidential election despite “interference”.
According to the French leader, Romanians made a choice “in favor of democracy, the rule of law and the EU.”
Macron emphasized that France will stand by Romania to strengthen the partnership, and work together for a stronger, sovereign and independent Europe.
