Taiwan's Defense Ministry has detected 103 Chinese People's Liberation Army aircraft approaching the island overnight.
This was a recent record high and a serious challenge to security in the region, the Defense Ministry said on its portal.
The Defense Ministry also added that Taiwan's armed forces are responding to the situation calmly, based on the principles of "prepare for battle but don't rush into battle, accept the challenge, don't deviate from the battle."
Taiwan called on Beijing to "take responsibility and stop such destructive actions."
Recall that the US will supply Taiwan with 11 HIMARS installations in 2024.
