Financial Times: G7 and EU countries cannot agree on how to mention China in official statements

The article says that European officials are going to speak at the summit in Hiroshima about the efforts they are making to counter economic pressure from China.

However, the countries cannot agree on how much China should be present in their speeches. At the same time, officials are wary of the idea of direct anti-China remarks.

They also fear that they may give the impression that the West is turning against the whole world. They intend to change Beijing's behavior through engagement with it.

Recall that the G7 summit will be held on May 19-21 in Hiroshima. Vladimir Zelensky may take part in it.
