The US president's national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, said in an interview with CNN that the United States would allow European allies to train Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots on F-16 fighter jets.
He noted that the U.S. president has given the "green light" and therefore "we will allow, authorize, support and provide the necessary tools for the Ukrainians to begin training on F-16s as soon as the Europeans are ready."
Training equipment, according to Sullivan, the countries of Europe will be ready to organize in a couple of weeks.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the fact of transferring F-16 warplanes to Ukraine would become a nuclear threat for Russia.
